Lindenhurst Moose Lodge Drug Take Back Event

Lindenhurst Moose Lodge, along with Lindy Cares and the Suffolk County Police have partnered to raise protective factors in Lindenhurst

The Members of Moose Lodge 1421 in Lindenhurst believe that we need to protect our loved ones against drug addiction and overdose deaths as a community. Studies have shown that one way to reduce risk factors is to hold drug take-back events and raise awareness of the dangers of not safely disposing of unused, unwanted, or expired drugs. On April 25th, together with their local coalition, Lindy Cares, and community partners C.O.P.E. Unit from the Suffolk County police 1st Pct. The Moose members will again set a great example for Lindenhurst’s youth and residents by hosting a covid friendly Drop-Off/Drive-through event.

The Moose also hosts monthly (reasonably priced) pancake breakfasts and steak nights, and a Murder Mystery Night Fundraiser is scheduled to help a local school-based club raise funds to get students ready with supplies they will need for back to school. Moose member Paul LaMartina says, “together, we can make a difference,” and there’s no shortage of support for this fantastic organization. Stop by Sunday, April 25, 2021, from 11 AM till 2 PM to safely drop off unwanted medications safely. We hope to see you!
